Desription:
If you’ve ever played Grand Theft Auto, or perhaps Urban Chaos on your PC, you’ll realize the similarities between those two games and the mobile game Saint’s Row. Saint’s Row puts you in the shoes of a recruit gangster, in a mob that’s hell bent of ruling district after district. It’s your job to see that accomplished, by completing mission after mission which are thrown at you.
Gameplay:
THQ Mobile’s release, Saint’s Row’s gameplay, is interesting to say at the very least. Each district is distinct, and pretty big for exploration. You can either choose to walk around the city, or hijack a car, and drive. There’re places in the city where you can buy weapons, and even a garage to store your cars , which can then be used for racing in the game too! Missions include assassinations, package delivery (which is really a race against time to get to a certain place), and more. However, the game is far from perfect. Hijacking cars can be fun, but the roads are so congested with cars, is practically impossible to speed, and the controls take some serious getting used to. Also, for a game that suggests action and violence as its main genre, there’s simply too little blood flying around. Despite all the weapon varieties available, the blood pumping adrenaline simply isn’t there. One of the best loved options of games in this genre, is the ability to attack civilians. Here in Saint’s Row, sure you can shoot at them, but the moment you do, they suddenly start running at superhuman speed, a speed that even a car would find hard to keep up with. Also, there’s barely any reward for attacking civilians. However, at least the gameplay time is massive, due to huge districts to explore, and things to do.
